Hi,

I received a email from CIRA saying that one of my domain is going to expire in 30 days.

I checked my control pannel @ netfirms.ca and my doamin was renewed automatically until 2007.

I just sent a email to netfirm asking i recieved the expiration email from CIRA and your control pannel saying that my domain has been renewed already what I should do.

They said yes my domain was renewed until 2007 and asked me to ignore the email that I recieved from CIRA.

Couples of weeks ago, I received a email from CIRA saying that My domain has been expired.

So I sent a email back to Netfirm saying that you guys told me that my domain was renewed until 2007 now CIRA saying that my domain is expired. What I should Do?

THey sent me a email back saying that I didnt' renew my domain now I have to wait 30 days until CIRA put it back to public for purchase.

I have all the email from Netfirms.

what I should do in this case? Please advise me

Find a new registrar. Netfirms sucks.

You can renew/transfer your domain with anyone you want. I use sibername.com because they let me pay via PayPal.

I made the horrible mistake of signing up for hosting with Netfirms for one year - and I live to regret it every single day!!!

My site goes down daily (!), as does the forum (several times a day!!!). I cannot say enough bad things about their service or their utterly non-existent technical support.

All ya' get is form letters as replies!

Sorry to hear it. Did you ask your host for money back? How did you pay for your hosting service?

Unfortunately I also have had a bad experience with Netfirms. I have also had terrible luck with namecow.com, who have not been answering their phones / answering emails for about 5 months. Terrible service. If anyone knows of a good .ca registrar, I would love to give them a try.

I'd say you bear them for a long while (5 months). Did you find the way out? What host are you with now?
