My domain is register under godaddy.com , i have a buyer who is interested in my domain name. I not too sure how to transfer it to the person.

First thing you need to do is unlock the domain via your control panel if it is locked (most likely).

Second, the person buying the domain needs to initiate the transfer and pay the associated fees.

Third, on the left hand side of the control panel there is a link that says "Pending Transfers", the new transfer request should show up there (you will also be notified by mail).

Follow the prompts and if you have any more questions please come back and ask.

By the way, i wish to ask 1 more thing. The buyer is paying through paypal, is it safe, what if there is a charge back will i still be able to get back my domain ?

Or is it better to ask the buyer to wire transfer to my bank account.

Paypals arbitration is pretty fair in my experience. If the buyer does file a dispute and does not return the domain then Paypal will not force you to still pay them back.

If the other person has an account at Godaddy the process is much simpler than what you have been told in this thread so far.

When it is a transfer from one owner to another at the same registar it is called a a "push".

If the other person does not have or does not want to open aGD account this answers in this thread are correct.

Could you explain the process of a push as I have never done one.

I agree you have to make sure the domain name is unlocked before you can transfer. make sure that it's not about to expire. otherwise you should be fine.
