Happened to me last year...
My ergistrar shutted down his servers, updated the whois records of my domains to Belgian and French political mens, and closed his phone line.
This registrar had enom and hexonet as top reseller.
A complaint with hexonet took 30 minutes to be solved, and my domains back in my custody.
With Enom, I needed 5 weeks, and they only responded me when a friend who is an advocate wrote to them on my behalf.
No need to say with who I stayed after that.
Hexonet is expensive, but they play it right, and the support is top class.
hat being said, I recommand to you to take a look on the whois records of your stolen domains (if you are really sure the problem is at the registrar level !!!), and explain it to the top level whois hoster.
For exemple, this is what is in the middle of my main domain whois:
Try to locate a url that isn't yours. Usually, the top hosters add their contact infos in the headers/footers of the whois result.
Then contact their legal department, or a sale representative.
