you won't find nice LLLL.com 's. There are still 30k available, but they mostly start with q x z etc.
If you want to develop a service you need pronounceable names just like Ecuf.com or Jurc.com (these are for sale by me btw).
And to answer your question, it depends on your budget, on what service will you use. 4 letters are always ok, but if you cannot afford them, try registering a 6 letter "brandable". But of course, on the long term you will invest more money in marketing the name, than buying a 4 letter.
