I have noticed none of the successful websites in the world use any numbers in their domain. Does anybody have any idea why that is the case?
Thank you

Jim is exactly right. I think for most people a domain with numbers is harder to remember. They may get confused if they're supposed to use the number or spell it out maybe.

But there are successful sites that use numbers. There's nothing wrong with it. Just be aware that it might be confusing for some people.

If you come up with a domain that's does have a number in it and is easy to remember then by all means use the domain. You might also want to register the domain with the number spelled out too just in case.

Seems like an easy enough domain to remember and spell. I think it's probably a good one.

If I am contemplating using a number on a domain name I look for combinations that include memory triggers. Examples:

77-sunset-strip (ancient TV show)
99luftballoons (song title)
3-little-pigs
3-stooges
3-dog-night
4-horsemen
7th-heaven
21st-birthday

etc..

I've got a three letter domain 24u (two for you). I bought it on a whim quite some time ago...not sure if I will ever use it.

well it's not always like that, you know go2call is a well known company for international calls, and it has a well reputation.. and easily remembered.. i think it depends on the user him self, if he's up to remember the domain name with numbers or no.. as for how easy is it to remember names more than numbers, that's right.. and it's the same reason for why people don't type down the IP address of a website, and instead they type its name..

but when it comes about names and numbers, in so many times it's easily to be remembered, depending on the concept of the website, and how strong it is related to its name.. even when numbers are included.

check http://up2space.com and also http://upload2space.com both are my websites and i think so far it's easily remembered, i wouldn't get those names if they were too hard to be remembered, don't you think..
