Webhostingbuzz.com has a special offer (domain name for life). Is it possible? But what happened if the client changes the web hosting company?

They usually hold the domain hostage and by extension the customer...for life. NEVER register a domain through your hosting company...if the company ends up sucking, which most host/registrar combos do, your domain is under their control and it's an absolute nightmare to try and reacquire it.

Domain names can't be registered for longer than 10 years at a time according to ICANN regulations, the last time I checked, either.

Overall it looks good. Domain name for life ... but if you change the web hosting company (Webhostingbuzz.com), you'll lose it forever, right?

Absolutely agree with Adam, I had a very bad experience registering
a domain name years ago with my old host. When I wanted to stop
hosting with them, it was a hassle to be able to control my domain
without having to remain a hosting customer.

Go with NameCheap.com or another reliable registrar.

Agree with you - NEWER. WebHostingBuzz.com - honest company. If they offer free domain for life that mean they only pay for your domain renewal while you their customer.

One of my clients registered a domain through a small value added reseller who charged him an excessive amount of money to host his website. Any changes or upgrades to his website were expensive.

It took both of us 4 or 5 days of continual effort to gain control of both the domain and website content.

I have seen this many times.

Of course there is!

It's just that the definition of "for life" varies.

No one can be sure how long it's that "for LIFE". In different eyes it's different period.

I think we all know, or should know that "Cheap This" and "Free That" simply doesn't exist.

I've just this weekend had to visit the old hosts for a client and demand they unlock a domain and remove the MX records. 1 **** year after he switched hosting to me and guess what... We didn't even know.

I simply "assumed" that by making the request a yaer ago the DNS servers had been changed, oh no...

Last weekend we did a 301 redirect and about 12 hours later both domains were down. 4 hours later I discovered the roblem and solved it but I was livid.

Lesson to be learned, if someone ways "yeah, sure I'll get right on it" CHECK...!

This offer from Webhostingbuzz.com attracts many clients to them and it's fair, anybody would like to have it. Just buy a cheap shared web hosting and get a free domain.
