I'm not sure why he's asking for anything as ridiculous as 5,000. I'm sure he would jump at it if somebody offered him $50. So, I'll feed the troll by asking him questions.
What makes you think this domain is worth $5,000? How much traffic do you get per month on it?
There are only a few things that can make a domain worth more than $1,000
1) Very very short one word
2) It's sexual and obvious
3) It gets a huge amount of traffic, simply because of it's name
Usually for all 3 of the above, it has to be a .com MAYBE a .net or .org
