I remember a few years back finding services that allowed you to get your own domain for free. It was not registered to you and advertisements were displayed, but it was completely free with redirection to your website and did not require signing up for any kind of hosting. Are these services still in existance? Searching only reveals sites willing to give you a free domain in exchange for signing up for a hosting plan or sites that say "free" but still make you pay. What are they called and how can I find them?
