Very interesting news article.. Covering the Afternic suit which was drop'd against icann in 2000'... well, read this.. it states that Register.com has an 10% stake & board members of GreatDomains...

Register.com is the one now that holds the V.Broker of Afternic... and it's Verisign now who holds the G.Domains auction monster..

So, what's up with the mix of Register's piece of the Great Domain pie..

hmmm rather interesting.......
read this..

Wow, that was very interesting. It seems like Afternic won even though ICANN is claiming the victory...

Oh well, anyone who reads that who possesses even a small degree of gray matter can tell who the victor was.

yae, i found that article to be 'rather interesting'

but the fact that Register.com promotes the v.broker of Afternic..
and ALSO has their 10% stake in GreatDomains
which G.Domains is the V.Broker used by Verisign..

hmmmmm

everybody want's a piece of everybody's pie it seems??

* and Verisign actually has been posting 'names on auction' through eBay..(shame..shame) and I learned yesterday that they made a corp. decision to remove all their eBay auctions.

Guess they ride both sides of the fence.

IMO.. if they are a biz selling new registrations for $35 a year..
THEN WHY.. WOULD THEY SINK TO THE LEVEL OF PUTTING DOMAIN NAMES UP FOR AUCTION?? it does not 'gell' in my mind.

it makes them look awful..

the point is that Verisign's rival 'Register.com' has 10% stake in GreatDomains
ie= a Verisign Co.

and Register.com is owner of Afternic V.Broker
