Any shopping cart meet my criteria?

1) Secure and widely supported (mods, templates, payment processors, shipping integration)
2) RSS feeds built into the cart (for new product, new specials)
3) Good wysiwyg editor for product/category descriptions (also for static pages)
4) PHP based, Ruby based or Perl based (NO ASP/Microsoft crap or Coldfusion). Open-source, server-side, widely used scripting language preferred.

I am currently messing around with x-cart, which I am happy with for the most part. No built in RSS functionality and a sub-par wysiwyg editor. Other than that I am extremely happy with it.

There has to be something better than x-cart. What would you recommend to fill the criteria?

Stick to x-cart.
Just add the rss plugin (try this one: http://www.websitecm.com/x-cart-mods...-rss-feed.html)
And if you know some html, then you can easily add FCK (http://www.fckeditor.net/) or Tinymce (http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/) WYSIWYG editors to your text areas.

This is what I figured. While it is far from perfect, x-cart is a descent solution that I know and pretty much meets my needs. Thanks for the input.

I don't have a recommendation for what you want, other than to say that there are some **** good custom carts out there built with the so-called ASP/Microsoft crap.

Don't limit yourself. The problem with ASP isn't the language itself, but that most people who choose to criticize it have no idea how to work with it.

Ultimately, though, you may want to look at DIY. It's the only solution that will always give you what you want.
