Hi there!
I am trying to make my first steps into making my webdesign company and I want to make sure I'll do all the right steps needed.
I want to use project management software for my projects. I still dont know if i should use a program like MS Office Project or an open source web-based software like dotproject.
Which one is better? Web-based or sth like ms project?

Also i would like to know if i should also use a customer relationship management software. Is it usefull? Can it be implemented with one of the project management softwares mentioned above? Or do the above software include a customer relation management module?

I've used dotproject experimentally the past days but i was not very excited...

Any ideas or suggestions? Thank you in advance for your assistance!

To give you a good answer, it will depend on how you run your projects. Do you have a lot of people underneath you? Is it just for your own calendaring and knowledge of where projects are? If you give more information on what you are trying to manage, a better answer may be available.

hi there.
thank you for your answers.
Currently it's only me and I just wanted something to help me organize myself and start on a good basis.
Also I was thinking that such programs could help me get some ideas on how to organize myself more.
I did some research these days and tried already projectpier which looks good but it doesn't have a calendar and also dotproject which has good features but its interface is not very user friendly.

Any good ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

BTW If you can't get organised using a diary, no amount of software will help

Take a look at TimeCore I used ver 1.5 for a long while and it worked Ok for me.
