i just did, i figured im in this for the long haul, i have no revenue, but i want to be able to write off my expenses next year (printer, domain names, hosting expense, etc)
That might not be such a stupid thing to do.
But do remember, you could end up having to pay for an auditor or/and an accountant. It depends on which country you're in.

I've owned partnerships, sole proprietorships but this last time, I registered as an L.L.C. it was more paperwork, time and more money than a sole proprietorship, but after it was all done I think it was more than worth it
