Glad to see a topic on E-Commerce. I kind of feel at home here, considering that's where I make the vast majority of my revenues. (though hopefully that won't always be the case).

I third that. I have a site that is getting good organic traffic and I was seriously considering rather than just adsense and some premade articles, turning it into a store selling product but I was honestly overwhelmed with what I would have to do to begin that kind of project.

I started off in e-commerce shipping electronic products directly from Hong Kong. We have shipped tens of thousands of orders to over 150 countries and territories. At it height, we had 4 full-time staff including a web designer and customer service clerk. However, our niche started to decline two years ago and has more or less completely collapsed this year. We are now in the process of winding it up gradually.

Luckily, I saw what was happening and switched into web-publishing by buying established websites 3 years ago. Now most of our earnings come from that and all of it is passive. Because the work involved is so tough, I would not want to start another e-commerce operation again unless I am forced to.
