I spend up 6 months writing a php script and now people come and say it offers nothing new and they prefer using scripts with more popularity and developers, and now what? What do i do with this supposedly useless script that people not even for free want it?

That really depends on the script you made. What does it do, can you show it to us in action anywhere on a live site so we can see what you are doing either proper and someone isn't catching it or improper and we could help lead you in the right way?

Hard to know without knowing what the script does. In general you can either listen to the feedback about what people do want and add it to your script or drop it and work on something else. If you learned anything through the process of creating the script or from the feedback after your effort wasn't wasted.

Lol, i cant post a link here without being accused of advertising... Is that if my site already had loads of traffic it wouldnt be advertising they say <.-<

As long as your site isn't an adult site or selling warez or similar it's ok to post a link. You can also create a signature with your link. Not every link gets deleted as self promotion. Sometimes we need to see your site to help.

You don't have to post your link either if you don't want to. All we really need to know is what the script you wrote does. What's it for? Why did you write it? We need more details about the script in order to give you a more detailed response about it.

Are you a designer? Then put some real time into making the interface insanely user friendly. (No hand-holding, just clear, with good help documentation) Then use it with your client's websites! You get your script out there, and make some cash.

If you link to the script, I'd love to give it a test run and offer some suggestions.

No designer...just programmer...yet ofcourse i have to design the templates for my scripts <.<

Since i didnt have any success with the script iam using it on my own website, ofcourse is a dead site as always, more like a test case like usual.

I really cant link to the script..it has no traffic at all...only things with traffic can be linked to or ppl get banned, ah...did i mention its pr0? People get scared of pr0's, they run away in all directions, so it wouldnt be worth anyways

But dont worry if it has any success in the future i will make sure nobody else gets any benefit from it

hehe.. everything create by our self more meaningfull than use anothers.
i like custom coding, i like use cms too, for me.. learn from cms increase my knowledge.

I have no idea where you got this idea. Maybe you hadn't noticed, but I'm an admin on this site. If someone was going to ban you it would possibly me and I've said it's ok to link as long as it doesn't break any of the other rules on the site. I also mentioned you could describe it us and provide more detail so we can try to help.

Since you're not willing to do either I'm going to conclude you're not really interested in the help and I'm going to close this thread.
