I've always wanted to make my own P.R. company or something similar. Famous publicists have always struck me as being the sort of people whose job I would like to do. Admittedly since I am so open and frank that's a hard job for me to truly embrace the spirit of, but today I started looking for tutorials on public relations, to give me some grounding in this direction (some well-spoken lines in Spin City inspired me in that direction) and I found this very useful tutorial which I admit I have only just begun reading, but it's clearly very good for a beginner.

I think that for all of us business people here there is a big reason to learn the specifics of public relations and how to use them for our own gain. Moreover even others who may read this, be they marketing people, activists, even programmers, can gain quite a lot from understanding how public relations operates as a mainstream commercial discipline.
It has power which goes way beyond most of the kinds of promotion we are used to dealing with in the various forums of this site, and in our online commercial lives.
I'm actually also thinking about starting a new business on top of all the other things I'm doing, due to a pact recently made with a close ally, but it won't be P.R. - I never rush things. When I make my P.R. company I expect I'll be at least 40.
