Is it just me are are google taking advantage of the current economic market by the riduculous markup they are applying to transactions?
it used to be 1.5% + 15p
As of 5th May its anything up to 3.4%!!!
You can only get a half decent rate (below 1.9%) if you are taking wad loads of business (£55K or more a month) - I am just about to launch 2 online stores in the next week or so ( www.it-deals.co.uk being one of them) - In order to remain competetive - some of our margins are as low as 5-6% - so Google expect me to give them 3.4% of that?!!!! Bah - I dont think so. 
I nearly laid an egg when i saw it.
Just another example of a coproprate trying to dry bum us small businesses without even the courtesy of a reach-around! |
