Hi

I need some advise from you all. I have written a 'niche' business related e-book and want to sell i on the net. I would like to do it on the cheap because im not sure about the market. My website is a free blog.

Here are my thoughts regarding selling the ebook. My concerns are regarding security and also webhosting.

The ebook is pdf adobe acrobat

Sell via e-junkie and paypal (due i dont have a secure webhost and the security regarding url's with ejunkie). Because i dont want the book to be transferred easily i was thinking of adding something like virtual vault which will add a licence key and also importantly track the same!

So overall its pretty cheap - e-junkie only 5 bucks per month, paypal small percentage per sale - and then virtual vault usd 29 bucks per month.

Pleased to hear peoples thoughts.

Many thanks

You could try using clickbank and paypal as payments for your ebook

Hi Clickbank wont let me download the book on their server and my webpage isnt secure enough. E-junkie will let me do that plus they protect the url at the same time.

Clickbank dont offer licence security and they take a larger percentage

So my methodoly stacks up better, I think this is right anyway...but because im a novice i need someone to agree with me haha..

Why not try Prestashop its opensource shopping cart software and you can use for selling downloads, its also has paypal already integrated into it. very easy to setup.

I'd just sell it on Amazon

I think for selling e-books there are no other solutions that come close to e junkie or payloadz. Both have free trial periods, but I personally prefer e junkie.

As far as licensing is concerned, it gives you a false sense of security. Those who want to buy will buy, those who dont will search for it and somehow get it for free. Nonetheless, I would still get some sort of security anyway.
You can talk to payloadz or ejunkie customer care, since they deal with people like you on everyday basis, I guess they would be able to advice you better.

Hope this helps!

There are a lot of benefits besides amazon for having an ISBN number on your book. That money doesn't go to amazon either.

More info:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isbn

Having one can open up many markets that would otherwise be offlimits.

That price will actually get you a block of 10 ISBN numbers. You could just re-sell the other 9 (to other ebook writers) and get your money back.
