If I wanted to setup a product review site, what would be the best CMS for this? I have worked with Wordpress, Joomla, osCommerce, and Magento. I was thinking of modifying Magento so there would be no checkout options for products. Is there a better way to go about setting this up?

I'm not sure any are specifically set up any better for a product review site. I tend to reach for for WordPress first since I'm so familiar with it. Are you going to offer products or just the review with links to products? If so then all you really need is a CMS that can handle basic text and images. It doesn't have to be too complicated. I'd go for WordPress, but again it's as much to do with my familiarity with it as anything else.

I have tried searching for a CMS designed specifically for this but it is difficult since I have to search with the word 'review' but get a low of review sites on specific CMS'.

I will look into wordpress. I have had some basic experience with it. For the site we want to have a list of products and sort them in to categories. A lot of the features that we were looking for are provided in an eCommerce site, but we won't want the checkout feature. Its for a nfp organization so we are trying to keep it simple and keep costs down.

WordPress might work for you. You would set up a post for each product and then place each post/product into the category you want. I'm guessing you won't want to show the usual blog home page that is a series of posts, but you can set up WP and the theme not to show that.

How comfortable are you working with WordPress. It probably won't be too hard to customize things to work how you want, but naturally that depends on your experience with WordPress.

I have not had much experience with Wordpress. I used it for a site, as it was designed, for a small blog. Other then that, I know very little. I did an install of it on my server and I'm playing around with it.

We were also looking to have a small forum integrated with this. The other option that I thought of was using vBulletin for the entire site. One of the vB sites that I visit a lot has a review section. I'm going to look into that as an option.
