Hi Guys

I am in New Zealand. I was just wondering if there are many auction sites similar to Ebay in the UK ?

Ones that get lots of sales or does Ebay have the main share of the market ?

Chrishirst, are you saying that there arn't any other popular auction sites in the UK other than Ebay ?

I only know of one and despite having items listed there several times I have never sold anything via the site.

You see, you asked for POPULAR auction sites, there are some, but no "popular" ones.

Ebay know how to market and promote and will happily spend money to get more money. Too many people think that a website should cost nothing to promote and will earn them millions.
To make something "popular" you HAVE to tell people how useful it will be for THEM!!

I actually had a conversation about this with a friend 2 days ago (he is from UK) and he told me that eBay is a dominant one, there was a few startups but they failed
