I am working on my online business, based on a tryed and tested business model.
My target industry is untapped and ready for harvesting. I am confident and have alot of knowledge of the target industry, have the system built and am just refining it.
Basically I am looking to sell websites (Bespoke design for each site but built on a custom CMS specificly made for this venture) to a specific industry, I dont want to reveal the specific industry so for the sake of this post im going to say keyboard wholesalers.
So I have websitesforkeyboardwholesalers.co.uk and a good list of keyboard wholesalers to market to.
My product involves the wholesaler giving me a spec or preference for the site design, I provide it to them with the system on my server.
They pay £x's a month with a £x (small) setup charge (charge for the design basically), for this money they get general support, updates, new pages if they want them over time and hosting/email.
They are given alot of generic but industry specific content on the site that they can edit themselves or request me to, the sites will provide a good source of info for thier clients, new and existing. It will also give them access to my directory (basically a directory/community site) that will list all my clients for free and will charge a premium for any non clients.
Am I missing somthing?
Is thier anything that, in your opinion, needs to be thought out more?
Any online businesses have any startup advice?
Thanks guys
I hope I explained it well enough for you to get an idea.
