I am looking for a reliable way to time track projects.

By reliable, I mean a piece of software that isn't going to crash a lose my data saved over long periods of time.

I found a program (Easy Time Tracking Pro http://www.easytimetracking.net/) that seems to fit my needs but I get a little weird using something new that doesn't necessarily enjoy a long reputation of good results.

Have any suggestions?

Every program anybody uses started out without "a long reputation of good results".

If it "does what it says on the tin" and fits your needs, does it matter?

Ensuring your data over long periods is really your responsibility, every program/system is capable of crashing and losing/corrupting data, being able to recover from it is up to YOU.

I would imagine any program needs testing and troubleshooting before you could offer it (for sale) as a legit program I agree. To sell it, surely there had been some testing involved and I have yet to find any one single program that hasn't evolved over time to become a better product? IE: vs 1 vs2 vs3

I guess I'm looking for the latter of the two.

Testing? Yep Microsoft call it a release candidate and sell it to the public.

Of course there is testing that has been done, that is usually indicated by the minor release numbers, eg: Ver 4.2.302 indicates version 4, second release, build 302. each build would be done after a testing/bug fix round up.

Yeah thanks. I suppose It's been a while since I've explored all of the forums in WMT.

No biggie, I just thought a (webmaster) that belongs here might have time tracking software they use and a suggestion or two.

Is it me or is it a little salty in here?

I used to use Timecore (Shareware) when I used to do hourly rate projects.

I don’t know much about it but I have witnessed one such software, which is simply amazing. Go to odesk dot com and download ‘odesk application.’ You can get to know well how it works. Keeping in vision the same, you can ask the software sellers about your desired software. Good luck!
