say for instance you want to pull the entire product online catalog of tiger direct.com and implement a percentage markup of 5% and have it fully displayed on your online store. (product info, prices, product description, image of product, ETC.) Any links on this, (info and/or code) or personal answers would be terrific, Thank you!

But seriously, its one thing if you want to scrape a couple of pages, but to pull their entire catalog? What would be the purpose?

I have a biz account with tiger direct. they said it was ok to pull their catalog so I can resell their products but want to give my customers an option to order from my site.

Seeing as though you have the source site's permission, use a website copying program to mirror the site's images and contents to your computer. A program like http://www.httrack.com/ will do the trick.

You can then pull out all the product images/copy and input to your own site.

Store images on server from their site, Create a product gallery using HTML and CSS (There are ample of website which provide HTML guide). If you know Dreamweaver then this page definitely will help you.

If they say you can use their catalog, don't they have a web service, or a database dump that you could use?
Scraping the entire catalog is going to take days, put a heavy load on their server, use a lot of traffic and be prone to errors.

If you can use a webservice or a datambase dump (csv, xml or such) you would be much better.

That's because they provide XML feeds as "content distribution"

Hold on... By scraping merchant's entire website your affiliate account will be in trouble.

TigerDirect is on Linkshare, an Affiliate Network. So you can get the datafeeds, if available, from Linkshare and use it to generate content for your website.

Those would be messy, though. Indeed, your request is a bit to simple but demands a perfect yields that actually need a completely mathematical process.<for instance>..lol

In addition, their catalog would constantly be changing, so this would be a ONGOING complicated procedure...
