Is using Facebook or any other social site good for getting hits to my website? If so, What is the best way to handle the account on Facebook to get people to be your friend?

i have seen niches where you can just add people in the niche and it will grow automatically. start by creating a second account, then like all of the pages and join all of the groups in your niche. Start adding people from the groups to be your friend. then add suggested friends. Then invite them to join your page...

get your friends to like your page and post on different forums about your facebook page. Once people join. You will get a lot more people to see it.

Create your network with your potential clients, add things related to their interest. This may help you to get traffic for your site.

Any form of pretence, in marketing, is bad. Smooth, public relations driven, beautiful, laminated, evil rubbish is still fine, but pretending, lying, doing something meant for something else and doing it for what it's not meant for - this leads to NO PROFIT - it leads to the DEATH OF ANY BUSINESS. You must not lie. Or steal. etc. Facebook is for networking with FRIENDS. You can advertise your business through groups and pages according to facebook's own "rules". On top of this it is an appallingly work-heavy way of getting almost no sales, it is a good addition to the 101 different ways 101 people have here for STAYING POOR whilst doing HOURS OF POINTLESS TOIL. Free india., Do some real work.

I've tried facebook several times but costs wise I've decided it's just not worth it in the end. (For me that is). However, I can see that for some products / catagories it will work.

social media is becoming very popular in now a days for getting hits directly, but before that you should join any group which is related to your business and join that person who really need your product or service.. so its good way.. to handle facebook or any social site account..

Create a Facebook Page for your website and suggest it to friends. Post the FB Page url on several forums and social bookmarking sites. Dont forget Twitter.

You should create a fan page and partake in groups that are related to your product/service. If you have a personal facebook post info about your site for your friends to read but don't over post because it will be come annoying.

Nice Tips, the Fan page is pretty powerful if you network properly to allow individuals to find your page and stay intact. Don't forget to market your page on your own website as well. People may visit your site and see that your have a Facebook page and like it, this will grow your like network quite regularly if they like your website. And provide you with a pretty powerful tool to use to market to your customer base.

I also agree with not spamming your friends with links. It just doesn't work and might make a few of them ignore you and your posts. Be smart include your information on your websites in your information spot. It's okay to announce that you have a website once, or have just launched it, but don't over do it. It will rub people the wrong way.
