Hi,

I am in the process of setting up a small company to sell goods to UK businesses. I have been playing with opencart and have modules for shipping (UK, Highlands, nextday before 9am, etc), account payment. Was thinking to use Paypal for CC until I can set up a merchant account to process CC transactions.

I would be interested to hear what other small UK companies are using in the way of carts, shipping and payment processing.

This is new 4 me.

I've used Zen cart, My own bespoke system, Joomla & VirtueMart (not a fan) and just testing a wordpress plugin.


Payment processing used - PayPal, GoogleCheckout, WorldPay & Nochex.

Deliveries - Post, Parcels2Go & InterParcel

chrishirst gave you some good tips. PayPal is good, you can use along with it Alert Pay, MoneyBookers etc. Or you can also ask you to your customers what is the convenient way to pay.

On top of that PayPal is highly trusted which would be business wise a plus.
