i think google analytics has so many option to track your online progress whether your promotion methods include paid or free advertising techniques. so you need to have google analytic expert so you can track your goals easily...

Yes, you can. There is a section in google analytics, which helps to track all the ecommerce related stuff like conversion rate, keywords, top landing pages etc.

Using Google analytic's you can track your ecommerce site conversion. google anlaytics is free tool. in market there are have many paid tool also

Rather than using ecommerce tracking of google analytics, you can also set some goals to your order pages, contact us etc. to determine the total orders and from them how many converted into sales etc.

Enable ecommerce code in GA, copy ecom GA code and paste in to checkout page of your site, set up goals to track conversions and drop out points page, test if JS is responding.

BTW a lot of eCommerce carts offer a built in pluin for GA you just need to insert UA #
