If your account has been suspended through a site like Ebay and you change your IP address, do you think they can still determine that you are the same person? Initially I thought this would through them off but my friend read that they will still know its you.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Do you mean get a different account or try and login to the suspended account with a different ip?

Then yes, YOUR ACCOUNT has been suspended and no matter who / where you are that account wont work?

They cant track by IP as these change for a lot of people, However things like cookies will still identify you ( unless you delete them / dont allow them )

Either way,, The ACCOUNT has been locked.. So no matter where you come from you still wont get in.

I don't think there is anyway you will be able to access the eBay account that got suspended however you can try creating a new one with a new email and stuff.

Why did you get suspended?

This will be a new account under a friend's name as well as their address, phone # and paypal. I have done this before and for many months I would be okay. Once a got my feedback up and was getting comfortable, they would suspend my account. My feedback would be 100% but they will suspend me anyway.

Sometimes they would say Im related to another account that was suspended (which is true, my personal account was suspended 2 1/2 years ago for putting legit jerseys on there...they warned me once and I put another one on there after the warning. I figured that they would simply take it down, not suspend me. I realize that was a mistake but I should not be forever banned...that is crazy. I have sold more than 600 different products on there with happy customers creating revenue for them and Paypal.

Im guessing the only way they know this is because of the IP. All other information has been changed. I have had accounts in the past with 150 positive/ 0 negative feedbacks and they continue to suspend my accounts. Im hoping this will allow me to be able to sell products on there again. They should be focusing on people who are getting negative feedbacks..not someone like me having all satisfied customers and paying their fees in time.

So I noticed someone stated to delete cookies...I figured that could be another way to figure me out but I was not sure.

one of the not so hidden secrets of ebay is that you can have as many accounts as you want as long as you change your email address (try to use your ISP email address rather than a free email account, because they require less verification with an ISP email address)

I know an ebay power trader who would create a new account every 1000 feedback account because what would happen with accounts with several thousand positive feedbacks is that it attracts envy and competitors will buy cheap items just to leave negative feedback.

So it's good to spread out your basket with several low rating accounts.

I should add that I'm not sure if this is allowed based on their TOS, but the thing is they don't police this very well for some reason.

Ebay sucks trust me i have about 1200 feedback i have held 100% i got suspended once had a long drawn out dealing with them to get my account back in order then it was all over an error on their part i still use ebay but they are not my main squeeze anymore

D_law, i agree I hate using them too but it seems as though they dont have much competition. I wish someone (like Google or Microsoft since they so strong) would make an auction site to compete. They have a monopoly it seems.

I started using Amazon but they are not accepting applications for new sellers (for clothing, jewelry, etc.) They said they would have their process completed this fall. It has been more than year now and they have not completed it yet. I tried selling stuff under Misc category....and I got a way with it for 6 months but then they told me i was a new seller and can not sell clothes....very frustrating cuz i was doing good and my listings were ranking high in the search engines.
