This would be a poll if I had a better idea of what to put as the choices, but for now, just answer the following:

What is your preffered online payment method?

I'll get this thread started--I use PayPal. It's fast, it's easy, and it's international. The rates are also low enough that they don't pose much of a problem at all.

Well, looks like it's swept the board so far. Have either of you had experience with any other payment methods?

It really depends on what im purchasing and who from i have used paypal in the past and had no bad experiences with it i paid for web hosting with it.

I tend to prefer using my CC online with trusted sites though as i feel im protected more when it comes to bigger purchases etc

Are you asking this question from a merchants point of view or customers?

As a merchant, I prefer paypal as it's easier to manage. The fees arn't too bad.

As a customer, I'd rather pay by credit card.

I'd like to use paypal all the time, but some websites just dont support it
overall i like CC's.... more people have a credit card than people who have a paypal account

I gotta say paypal. Problem is, due to it being an eBay company, other large companies (yahoo ect) will never allow it. Shame

Paypal. I aint worried about the fees.. at the end of the day if you want something that is going to be secure you aint gonna get it for free.. and would you rather you have all your money took off your card or pay a small fee for the quality and security you are getting?

Main - 2Checkout.com
Option - PayPal

I dont see a strong trust in PayPal as client, and because of that using it as secondary option on my e-commerce web site.

There are lots of those so called 3pp...Anyway it depends on what you exactly need I mean some like ibill and ccbill may be unacceptable for some userf because of high registration fees, Merchantboss is also a good one, and they have only transaction fee. One of the most popular is OScommerce..2co is somwhere round there.
The second thing is what you are selling and where you are based, as some of the processors may be unavailable for you from the very beginning
