Financing

I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of how I can get some financing for my business. Things are going pretty well but if I could invest in a few more items, it would be a lot better.

I have no business credit establsihed and due to my health problems and having had to file bankruptcy before my personal credit is poor.

I need about $2000 which isn't much but still difficult to get. does anyone have any ideas or know of any resources?

I would say your best bet would be to first come up with a working business plan, focus less on numbers and more on your experience and the experience of your management (if applicable). Since you only need a couple grand a well writen business plan and clear and accurate books showing a steady profit and growth should be enough to satisfy a small time investor.

Yes, absolutely. Write a business plan that would convince us that if we gave you $2000, than you would be able to easily pay us back with interest. And then everywhere you go tell people about your business, and put out feelers to see if they might be a good prospect.

Oh, and join the local chamber of commerce or other civic groups.
