First off I'll explain briefly what I do..
I'm a web developer with over 2 years of professional deveoping/programming/layout.
I design bank/medical sites primarily but have done many others.

I'm want to create a nice looking site that will be in high demand so that I can place some ads on it. The problem is, I think it'll be easier to build one on something I know more about...
fishing / stereo equipment / college life / etc... those types of sites don't get a lot of hits, I just don't know what type of site to make! I have the skills to create the site, just need your help for what sites bring in the people.

what type of sites have been good for you guys??

If you have the time and patience you can make any site into a success. It would be far more worthwhile to pursue a site you enjoy rather than one that you think will make money.

If you are simply looking to make money then I would look towards powerselling a product on ebay or setting up a turnkey business.

I have quite a lot of experience in a lot of online "money-making" fields through experience so if you need some help do let me know.

One of my top ideas is targeting a county where I used to live with about 60,000 people and 1000s of lakes... Providing fishing tips/links/forum.

I do like selling on ebay, I just don't know what to sell besides my old stuff
I'd like to get hooked up with a good 'drop-ship' type place and just sell like 5 different products I know well...but i don't know many yet.

I would love to get some more ideas, thanks!
