I've purchased a few from EV1servers.net. I'm leary about anything from Godaddy above and beyond domain name registration. I've still got a handful registred thru them but I've started registering new ones elsewhere. They make me nervous. Plus I don't like the additonal sales screens one must got thru just to checkout.

GoDaddy's SSL certs are good, I havn't noticed any problems with them. I've had to install a couple for clients and have never had any problems, nor have I heard of any.

Another good company to get a cert from is rapidssl.com. We are a reseller for them and can vouch for their quality.

www.instantssl.com

I've used these quite a few times and never had problems with them. The whole install/validation process takes maybe 5-10 minutes if you're sitting with a client, including generating CSR, ordering the SSL, and installing.

I know this sounds rather mundane, but since a lot of people forget about it and then complain after, make sure you get a dedicated IP for the site in question first: the SSL won't work without it. (I don't know why I see this happen so often, but I do.)

Never used GoDaddy's myself, so I have no opinion.
