I've been doing a lot of research lately on billing systems. Some are too complex, so do not have enough, it's starting to get frustrating.
I wanted to reach out to the community to find out what others are using for their recurring billing and payment systems. I have Quickbooks, but managing all the invoices can be a nightmare at times. I have tried other systems through Verisign, paypal, and other processors, but I am unable to tie those solutions with my customer database.
Here is a short list of the things that I am looking for in a billing system:
What must a billing system do?
1. Be able to integrate with the major payment processors
2. Be able to integrate from my native application, add customers, add charges, etc...
3. Be able to schedule delayed payments
4. Be able to do recurring charges
5. Be able to improve AR by giving smart alerts (upcoming CC expirations, etc...)
6. Be able to integrate with accounting software (Quickbooks)
7. Be able to RSS with daily, monthly reports
8. KEEP IT SIMPLE
9. Hosted with Web Service accessibility
Please give me your feedback if you know of a billing system that does this. Also let me know what you think about the billing system you are using.
cheers,
