Hi all,

APPARENTLY there's a growing demand for health products such as multivitamins and weightloss.(i'm not exactly sure where i heard that) Do you think it would be a good idea to sell these kind of products?

I've been searching for some herbal and organic products for fitness and most of the sites looked unprofessional and were presented badly.

My idea was to buy high quality products at discounts of wholesalers my friend recomended, then selling them on the net. With quality products, reasonable prices, attractive design, good web hosting and loads internet promotion, would this be quite successful?

i don't want to do affiliate program with health products because i want the site to have shopping baskets so they it seems like a real online store. Also, i want to be handling all the money thats coming through.

Please tell me your thoughts

If your knowledgable about the product, then you can sell it. If you have determination, then you will succeed. This is the same with any business venture.

I wouldn't jump head first though, try going with affiliate programs to start just to see if the maket is there. This way you test the waters without jumping in, and you should be able to make a bit of profit from the affilates to use as capital to start your own full fledged ecommerce site.

I guess that's a good idea, does affiliate marketing require capital? Could you recommend me a good program?

you should never pay to join an affiliate program, ever!

You will be the fuel for their site, traffic!
There are plenty of affiliate programs that you can promote that will have the look & feel of a seamless site to your customers.

you can also buy a domain & have it redirect to your affiliate url, thus never having the expense of a host & have a brand name (domain name) that you own.

You need depth market research and need to create ur brand and awareness.

As Anacrusis already said 'If your knowledgeable about the product, then you can sell it.'. If you have determination, then you will succeed.' The only thing I would have to add to this would be to research your competitors. It really seems there are lots of multivitamin and supplement sellers out there already. I've got quite a few clients in this line of work and yes, they do well.
