Can anyone give me a good estimate of how much money I would be able to sell a forum site w/ 75,000 ACTIVE members? I know a lot more matters than just the amount of members..but based on member count alone, the type of site [forum], and lets say 500,000 total page views per month, how much could I sell it for? I'm looking for estimated amounts. If I had it my way, I'd ask $10 for every member!!!

Also, if anyone has any good advice or tips and tricks on increasing the value of the site, [Besides increasing the profits or unique\total page views] selling a site, any information on what type of permits or licenses I'd need to sell the site, sites I could sell it on, and any general advice or tips on the subject would be very helpful.

Most times sites go for 1 years worth of the site's revenue. Having a high amount of unique visitor help you to sell high. Also the amount of active vistors you have will help you greatly. If you don't already have ads on your site like Google adsense, you should put some of them up so your site can start making money. That's the biggest thing that people look at is how much $$$ it is making.

To make your site worth more is by getting more visitors. More visitor = more revenue. You don't need a license to sell your site. There are a lot of forums that have buy sell threads. This site has one. You could also try to sell on Ebay. Most sites on there are trash, but there are less techy people on there looking to make money. You might get more from someone on Ebay then from a webmaster forum. If you go the Ebay route, don't start low. Make your starting price what you are hoping to get out of it.
