I am tentatively beginning to research this so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Myself and a friend currently have one active blog/forum with approx 5000 members.

We are currently motivated/in the postion to purchase websites to build up a portfolio. Something i REALLY want to do!! However due to the big project we are working on we dont feel we can build a portfolio if we have to actively maintain the sites.

We are looking for someone to manage the site portfolio, add content to the blogs, check up on the forums, SEO, google ads, etc etc. If there was no emergency we would only need to have a brief meeting once or twice a month.

We currently only have one site which is making $170 a month with hosting costing $140. The site i am currently looking to buy is making approx $100 a month with outgoings about $40, but i am buying it becuase of its potential not immediate revenue. I looking to agressively add more sites to the portfolio.

As this is in its infancy i would really like to find some enthusiastic who sees the longer term potential and is interested in having a long term relationship.

we would much prefer to strike a deal where we split the monthly profits, therefore the person managing the sites has a vested interest.

We would be very open to suggestions from the person managing the sites and would seriously consider any sites they suggested we added, marketing ideas, etc etc.

My partner is a great graphic designer and i can be quite creative with PR but my strengths are people and driving things through.

Any advice anyone could give as to the feasibility of this or where i could start to look for this or anything i should be aware of would be gratefully received.
