Hello everyone,
I finally think I am going to "give -up" on trying to find a fairly well established website business for sale and perhaps have one made, I had the good fortune of finding one site last year (wolfsurfer.com) but just cannot seem to find something that "fits" what I am looking for so I just might try to get one built for me.

My reasoning for buying a "already established site" is that I will be indexed, and have page rank, and links, and traffic, or course a new site will take months to get listed, linked and rolling, the benefit however is a can get a new site "made" for less and then just have to ppc and find other avenues to advertise.
So, if someone here has any ideas who is reputable in site design, and perhaps seo all in one, I would love to hear from you. I am not looking for cookie cutter designs but someone that will be honest, and produce the best site and help me get it going for a fair price. I welcome your pm and posts also how can I get ratings on WEBMASTER-TALK? I have a excellent rating on ebay (moparlover7277234) but I am new here. I appreciate your efforts in helping! I hope I posted this in the appropriate place
Thanks

There are lots of designers and SEOs here. You might just want to check through some of the threads and look at the links in signatures. You can probably get a really good feel for what a person is going to be like to work with based on how they post.

You get ratings (or talkupation as it's called here) from other members. Basically help people out and some will click the link to add talkupation. How much someone can give depends on how much they themselves have and how long they've been a member.

It's really nothing like an eBay rating though. More just a way to say thanks to someone. You don't get anything special for having more.

I believe that it is best if you find a decent freelancer or a small web design company with lots of experience behind. You are right for one thing though - you will need at least 3-6 months to get a 3-4 page rank. Not to mention the design and development time which may add another 1-2 months; or even more.

But I would recommend (depending on your budget) to have a custom designed website. Then when you finish the development process you can start right away with PPC advertising even when you have less to spend - at least for the experience that you will get from it. And simultaneously you can build your own SEO - via link building, forum and blog posts, articles and so forth.

If you work hard enough and long enough you will reap the benefits.
My personal advice though - avoid overburn at all costs!

Hope this will help you.

Note: Surprisingly I happen to provide the services you seek. Drop me a line if you are interested. I would be happy to hear from you. My email address is damyan@damyan.info

I've used the guys at http://www.jtimages.com. They have great designers and are reasonable prices for the work they do.
