I want to launch a clone of www.elance.com which is very professional and high standards. I have full backup support with my development team.
What I need is, some ideas on the payment gateways, promotion methodologies, marketing etc ..
Can anybody help and would like to put in some views..

What I would suggest for you is buy a ready-made PHP/MySQL/Apache engine.

Afterwards prepare yourself a solid advertising budget if you want to compete with the bigger players.

And if you are successful in an year down the road you may decide even to develop your custom solution from scratch.
