Hello, I've found this forum and really like it. That's why I would like to get advise from forum members.

I do have some doubts whether placing ads and banners to your store/site is advantage or disadvantage for your business. Sure, placing banners leading to other sites can bring you real profit. However, to my mind, style of your store /site is really important.

I myself don't like stores that are overfull with ads, they really impair the whole style of the store and may confuse you. Also I would like to be user that the store owner takes care of you, not of his sales and respects his customers.

What do you think about that? Do you think that extra ads may play non-pleasant trick with you or it really doesn't matter?

Thanks a lot for your thoughts.

I would say you should not put adverts on a store as the users may be drawn away from your site to the advert and you could potentially loose sales for a few cents. I think you should make the revenue from the products you sell in a store not the content if you have a store. They also tend to slow the loading speed of the page down.

Yes, I would agree with you. And you gave me one more argument - about loading speed, i even didn't think about it. Yes, it seems that good reputation and attention to your customers can bring more then longing for 'easy money'.

Thanks for your opinion.

The message your post gives is that you care about what your customers think, and about whether they have a good experience dealing with you. That's what I got out of it, anyway.

When I want to buy something, if I see an online store with flashing banners like it's the Vegas Strip, I think that person cares about money more than anything else. And if I have any problems, I'm SOL. Something more tasteful, though, and I just naturally feel better about doing business there.

Yes, you are right, I believe it is important for customers to know you think of them.

Right comparison! I myself have very mixed feeling of Las Vegas, it's luxurious at some point however there is something repelling at the same time in it ..

Thank you for your opinion a lot.
