Hi guys,

I'm in the process of setting up a site that offers a subscription based service, (bill the customer $X.XX on a monthly basis). Can anyone recommend a payment processor? Two main things are important to me:
-professional look and feel, (would be nice to integrate this service into the website design so it does not look like we are going externally to process the payment)
-automatic charging of cards on XX date of the month unless the client unsubscribes

Does anybody have experience with any companies that offer this service?

Paypal, 2Checkout, Google Checkout are your best bet.

PayPal won't allow for customer-hosted payment pages, and I don't believe big G will either.

If it's in Canada, BeanStream will do recurring payments as well as allow for customer-hosted payment pages.

As far as US or merchant accounts anywhere else in the world, contact Corey Bryant and tell him Adam from ADAM Web Design sent you. He'll charge you a fee for his services (I don't know what he charges), but you'll get the right answer. This guy posts on WebProWorld regularly and he's an e-commerce imperial God-like really-knows-it-all type of a guy.

Most subscription based services are considered high risk. Try checking out a reliable merchant account provider I'm using based in Orange County CA: http://www.highriskexperts.com

Nice try, gluck06. And most subscription services aren't considered high risk...I don't even know where you got that information from.

Is this some kind of joke???? or am i missing something? "High Risk" in my mind means a good chance of getting hacked....
