I'm developing a website that will require users to pay a fee for the information that is available on my site. What would be the best way to handle the payment and still keep the user from leaving my site, which is what i gather will happen if I use paypal. I have never made a e-commerce website before, so the more info that you can give the better.

Thanks in advance!

You can use the return function to return to the site after payment or cancellation of the transaction. These are both options when you sent up your links.

My Grandma had a crude saying that applies here, "Why don't you wish it in one hand and s*** in the other one and see which one gets full first".

It isn't going to work that way.

I have read and contacted PayPal directly and it will work using their API.

Then either you didn't explain it to them clearly or they lied (likely the former).

You cannot...cannot...canNOT...accept PayPal payment from a user without the user being redirected to the PayPal site. And it's one of the many reasons PrayPal is not a quality e-commerce processor.

Sorry to take you down from your buzz, but that's the reality of your situation.
