Hey, I've built my own e-commerce sites and system.

Basically, I'm not making any progress with my conversion rate and sales.
I have no idea what the problem seems to be, I read every possible guide on the net to try and figure out what's wrong but haven't figured out a solution to the problem.

If any of you guys could check out my sites and give me a tip or something it could be very helpful. thanks!

Thanks in advance,
George Rubin

George, I'm going to be blunt with you. Please understand that the reason for my lack of tact is to make sure that you get the help you're looking for, and that I don't believe in sugar-coating anything. So please don't take offense to anything I have to say.

Perfunique: wrong. Everything on this site is completely, totally, unequivocally wrong. This is a poorly built site, and needs to be redone from the ground up. Don't bother fixing it...it'll take you ten times longer.

To be more specific:

1) The links pages. Link exchanges won't help you with any SEO efforts, since link exchanges are pretty easy to spot and generally look pretty spammy and cheap. More importantly, they don't help your users (or your conversion rates, since you're sending users away from your site).

2) Your Flash menu. Besides not being usable by everyone (i.e. people that don't have Flash installed), search engines won't be able to traverse it.

3) No text links to products. You can link the images, and that's fine...but a text link will provide users with two entry points to your product pages and give search engines a bit of a better idea of what your page is about.

4) It takes too long (3 clicks) to get to most products. Get it down to 1 or 2 if you can.

5) You can only add one item to a cart at a time.

6) You only offer shipping to the US. If you can expand internationally, you'll generally increase your business by about 10%. That doesn't sound like much, but every little bit helps, right?

7) You have non-secured items (including a Flash Verisign logo?!?!?!) in your secure pages.

8) I detect the rancid air of FrontPage HTML code, although it isn't as bad as some FrontPage attempts I've seen. Externalize CSS and Javascripts, and try to create a tableless layout (with your particular site, it's actually pretty easy.)

Those are just functionality issues. There may be design issues, but beauty is in the eye of the beer holder.

For Your Ride:

Marginally better. At least the menus are HTML-based.

1) Put the "Add to Cart" graphic somewhere else. It's hard to see where it is. Maybe at the top and bottom of the description (no harm in having it twice).

2) The cart from Perfunique is accessible from this site as well! Add an item from Perfunique and then add one from For Your Ride...why? That makes no sense to me.

Modern Mansion:

See above, plus:

1) You're selling advertising. Since you clearly want more sales, you shouldn't be selling advertising since that takes away from sales. This is silly.

2)

Unless "Not Specified" is a vendor of yours, you probably don't want that.

Well...there's a dozen things to get you started. More will come from what I just suggested, but start there.

WOW! Thanks alot Adam, your remarks were just what i was looking for.
Since every person I've turned to told me everything looks fine and I knew that I'm not doing something right.

I'll get to work right away.

P.S.
If you have anymore comments I'd be glad to hear them.

Most people will, George. That's the problem with soliciting feedback in general...you might get half a percent of real, quality feedback and the rest is "it's fine".

Way to trust your own instincts over other people's, though.

I only tried the middle site, but it took a long way to come up. I suspect a lot of that is because of the animation on the right, but it seemed to take a while to reach the server. That could be an internet hiccup, but it could also be your hosting. I say that because the person above me wasn't able to reach your sites...

I would look for a really nice e-commerce template. The more "professional" a site looks, the less resistance a person is going to have to buying from it.
