I'm looking for legit eBooks to buy. Has anyone here purchased resell rights to an eBook? If so, from where?

Dude, I don't mean to jack your thread like this but in this case I'm trying to help you a bit.

You're not likely to find what you want. eBooks with reseller rights are usually crap, and the good ones are only legally sold by the person/company that created them because they want to protect their sales territory.

The quality of a book and the sales distribution aren't really related, but for some reason it seems to be in eBookLand.

Bummer... and your points are valid. I'm really looking for something to sell on my personal site. Say a potential client comes looking to have a site built for them, but they think they can build one themselves instead of using my service. So, i sell them an eBook to show them how. I guess what i'm hearing is that I need to bite the bullet and write my own? Boy, that should be interesting...

Have a go on your own is what I say - I did a while back, although it was rubbish. If I could be bothered to, I would write a good ebook now, but I seriously can't be bothered and college starts in just over a week

Mainly, nobody guys them. And if they do its for about 0.99 usually, and the **** seller fees are about half of that. And what paypal deducts, it's not worth it unless your selling LOADS of them. When you see people who sell them, the auction to sale ratio is pathetic, you wonder if they're breaking even.

EDIT: Ok i didnt read all of what dan said, eBay wasn't actually mentioned :P

I'd agree with your thinking, Dan. Swallow the bullet without chewing and write your own. Or better yet, use Jamie Lewis'. It's free and already covers most of what you're talking about.

I'm on the road, so I don't have the link handy. But I'm sure he'll be around at some point with the link.

Adam how can you be on the road? The last I heard some snake got you through your CPU and you're no longer with us. Is it a miracle? Is this really you? Or is Peter again pretending to be you?

Dan if you can I would write your own book, though I do think you can make money with the resell rights to other books. Most will probably be crap, but last time I checked people buy a lot of crap.

Now Adam or myself may not buy the ebook you're reselling, but that doesn't mean no on will buy it. Have you seen the link exchange forums? I bet most of those people would buy a book if it promised they could make millions in 15 minutes a day.

I don't though know where you find the books for resale. I would think you could dig some up by searching.

why would you want the resell rights instead of just selling as an affiliate? just curious...

Kacey with the resell rights I think you add your own affiliate links inside the ebook. Some people will give the ebook away for free in order to get their own affiliate links into the book.

The affiliate links in the ebook potentially are worth more than selling the ebook itself.
