I've been looking at various forums on the web this morning and came across this one so I am posting this request here for potential work from designers. I'll also be planning on using various sites like rentacoder and getafreelancer so I am not limiting myself just to here in case this advert is seen elsewhere.
We an a company based in the internet sector and have a requirement for a designer to work on developing UI interfaces / HTML prototypes for a new project we are working on.
The prototype designs will be for our website, customer websites and for web based internal tools.
When I say prototype what I mean are static page with some HTML functionality that would represent a walk through of all the screens in a website or in our applications, something like a storyboard. These design would be subject to numberous revisions until as we will engage customer feedback during the process.
We would supply a specific brief in terms of what is required as we have done extensive work around UI design and human behaviour. We would also supply any copytext required. What is required from the designer is to bring our designs to life and provide sliced HTML pages in a sort of storyboard type format where we can walk through each page of the site for example or each screen of any of our web based tools.
I would estimated that there could be 2-3 weeks of solid work including the revision work with further changes required later in the year. We don't have a specific set of requirements written up. When I do I'll have a good idea of the amount of work/pages required so I'd invite quotes at that stage. It may be possible for people to provide prices pages on sigle pages now but what I want to do is at least have a shortlist of potential candidates in terms of people who have the skills required.
We would ideally like to build an ongoing relationship with a designer or series of designers as we have requirements for ad hoc projects on a continual basis.
What I'd be looking for initiall is a portfolio of work for an interested parties so I can at least have a shortlist of designers.
Location is not an issue as this will be conducted from your own place of work. Anywbody based in Ireland or dublin would ideally meet with us in our office.
I'll also assume you have all your own software etc. In terms of the copyright, source files etc we can deal with this if it is something we plan to move forward with the particular designer. A Non disclosure agreement would be a requirement for any party working with us.
The start date will be about mid July for this particular project.
