Our back end databse is Oracle, PHP-MySQL programmming experience can be used if you haven't coded a PHP-Oracle web application yet.
You can try downloading OracleXE (free) edition and run it with PHP and Apache, PHP has special OCI extension that enables it to talk to Oracle.
