I am looking to create a web 2.0 health ecommerce site. Since health products are usually spread through word of mouth, a great community feeling would be sought after. The user experience should be simple and smooth.

The website will be broken down into three types of products – SEXUAL HEALTH, NATURAL COSMETICS, and MUSCLE FITNESS. Each month we will have 2-4 of the newest and hottest products for sale in each category. After the month is up, new products will be listed and users will be able to check out past products and also purchase them in the archived section of the page.

A rating system would be required similar to the way http://caps.fool.com has their rating system set up.

What pages do you envisage?

http://ebimini.com/ - current entrance page however entrance page not necessary

Main Page -

The main page should have the three categories with the current products for each category for the current month. Graphics for each product but not much detailed info. Info could be spawned in an AJAX popup of some sort. Also on the main page a quick registration box AJAX style for basic information - Login/PW/email address/State. Search box to find products. AJAX shopping cart as well as poll.

Category Page –

Each category will have a new page each month with the 2-4 products for that month. Past months will be archived in a separate section that users can access. On each category page, users will be able to vote for what one of next month’s products will be.

Community Page –

Based on the Traineo “Pulse” page – link below.

Please provide me with any suggestions on any other essential or helpful pages that would make the user experience that much better.

Show us some sites that you like and tell us what inspires you about them

http://www.hdosport.com - I like the shopping cart and user shopping experience incorporated on this site.
http://caps.fool.com - I like the rating and review system that they have set up there. When you confirm your stock pick, it refreshes in page utilizing AJAX I'm thinking. Definitely check that out.
http://www.chegg.com – The sign up is quick and easy.
http://www.traineo.com/pulse - “community” feel that I’m looking for – data taken from daily poll on main page
