To all you geniuses out there:

I'm calling for your help and expertise.

I need my photography website designed and build, it'll primarily be a showcase for my portfolio, but not exclude the possibility of features such as news, blog etc, or anything new and fancy that you think might be cool and useful.

It should be easy to maintain, upgrade and expand, in terms of contents, such as category, new additions etc. The overall style should be simple but elegant. Website needs to be consistent when viewed from different platforms and be compatible across all browsers.

The functionality of the site should be very efficient, quick loading, optimised for broadband users but also take 56k crawlers into consideration. Strictly NO flash, however, dynamic pages with html pages generated from script would be ideal, for quick loading and search engine friendly pages.

Please feel free to add your own input or suggestions.

If you think you're the right one for the job, please feel free to get in touch with me, please also include your portfolio in the proposal and your quote.

Please keep in mind, this is my personal site, I also have a hefty commercial site in the pipeline, if you land yourself this gig, you'll stand a great chance to be considered for the big project as part of a developing team, which has a budget from couple of hundred up to 4 digit payment.

MaGutosh:

It sounds like you're looking for a database-driven solution that you could later expand. Do you already have a server lined up? Are you comfortable using PhpMyAdmin for database-work?

News stories and "expandable" websites will need a back-end to make them run nice and smooth. Static pages will reduce the quoted cost substantially.

Can you give us a little more insight as to what you're looking for?
