Just wondered if WT has ever considered getting an irc room for community memebers to talk to other community members other than via forum posting.

Some places say that by getting an irc room they notice less action on the forum, however i have been on a few forums in the past which have an irc room and nothing has gone wrong.

What are peoples thoughts and feelings on this? just out of interest.

i see what you mean lol, dead seems to be a better word. Well its not for every place, some forums/sites really do well with it others it doesnt seem to catch on much

In our case, we stop using IRC and just used ICQ and different kinds of messengers just to chat

Ive seen attempts for many different niche's of sites trying to branch out to IRC chat.. Most of the time it fails as only a few dedicated people actually do it. It usally ends up in a dead chat room. But having more posts on a forum is alot better for business anyway.
