I have been working on getting my fitness dating and advice site up for the past 2 months. I purchased my software from a company called emeeting. I managed to integrate my template design w/ their scripting software but none of the links worked. The links that involved their underlying software like the forum.php, and chatroom. My links to different areas of the site where I created pages from scratch worked fine.

Anyway does anyone know of a good dating script company that is not too expensive that will give me the ability to get my site up and running? I contacted emeeting, but it has been 3 weeks and they still have not fixed my problem.

Nope, no idea. Sorry. I've never had any interest, so I never looked into it.

But there are too many dating sites already. Each with like 3 members. Who aren't attracted to each other. New dating sites are bound to failure, at least in terms of finding their clients dates. If holding on to customers is something that's important to you, instead of always running after new customers, I would skip the dating product.

Regardless of whether it's a good idea or not ... if you want to do it, it sounds like your .htaccess file is probably read-only. If the links aren't working, the script probably has a "search engine friendly links" system using mod_rewrite. Look into that; you might be able to use the setup you already have.
