Hey,

recently i been selling some scripts and bits.

I want the user to have the right to edit it to fit in with site and stuff..
They not have right to redistribute in part or whole
cant edit and sell/distribute
cant resell.

what kind of license would i put for the scripts. i would be selling them

im not sure

Just so we understand, if I bought a script from you, I can legally edit it, and I can run the changed version on my own site, but I can't take my edits and sell them to other people, right?

Well basically i wouldnt want a user to buy the script from me edit it and then resell it.
or just buy it and resell it for that matter

Note that the copyleft only applies to the software and not to its output (unless that output is itself a derivative work of the program); for example, a public web portal running a modified derivative of a GPLed content management system is not required to distribute its changes to the underlying software.

You know, I'm really just not finding much. Although it looks like you can create your own legally binding Dan License, as long as you make people agree to it like when you install new software. I'd probably read one of those and just summarize it.

Make sure you say no derivatives. That, or listen to someone who knows more than I do, 'cause I don't want to steer you wrong.

Well you don't owe me the TP, 'cause I never really found the answer, just poked around looking for it.

That means come on, people! Don't let the n00b be the only guy answering here! I really only write software from 9 to 5 for other people, so they deal with all the legal mumbo jumbo.
