I loaded DOS V on one of them (Japanese DOS) and tried to figure it out. Interesting experiment. Then I gave it away.

I pile them up in my dining room I can't bear to get rid of hardware no matter how useless it is.

Last count I had about dozen machines in there.

In your dining room ????
That lead me to think you live alone.

He, my wife is already complaining about "the box with the big antennas and all those flickering lights" that's on top of the cupboard....

Yeah if you're not going to hang onto your system you should definitly recycle it. A huge percentage of lead found in landfills is from discarded computers and parts.

BTW I've decided to install linux on my old machine (havn't decided on a distro, maybe debian). If all goes well I will have LAMP going on it in a month, provided that I have the spare time.

I opened it up today after it had been sitting around during my first two years of college to find a huge amount of dust and a small family of yet to be classified mammals inside. The fact that one of the screws on the motherboard is stripped and refuses to come loose isn't going to make cleaning an easy job.
