I just read this really interesting story called Day 76: The Yahoo Revival Meeting (Starring His Digital Holiness Steve Jobs)! that had an interesting line in it.

What do you think? Is it a good comparison? I kind of think so myself (Oprah says to read a book and it sells 14 million copies. Steve Jobs says a thing is cool and it sells 14 million at 3x the price if anyone else made it.) but I want to hear what everyone else thinks.

yeh its good, but the thing in todays world is people dont buy just the standard un-branded product at 9.99, they would rather buy the SAME product but with the NIKE brand or the ADIDAS brand or any other kind of brand for 49.99.

i think its silly. people paying all that extra just because of the name when you can basically get the saem product without the name at 1/3rd the price
